Update re FREE show
Hi All
message from Myra they had a meeting with the director of the show at Hanger Farm on the 7th July. His Forest Forge team have interviewed scores of folks in residential care and nursing homes about when they were thirty. Then he wrote an engaging, funny and moving script based on their memories of the 1940's to 1970's.
We heard two sketches one about someone's first council house with soap box furniture and the second about Dick Barton!
No patronising or sentimentality.
It should be a very pleasant hour show at Hanger Farm next Sat July 16 from 3 onwards There's tea and bickies after.
Although tickets are FREE we are asked to ring and reserve (8066 7683) They can judge numbers or arrange for wheelchairs, for instance.
Also could people please bring photos of themselves in their thirties? Some chinwagging afterwards is welcomed.

Moviola Filmshow
HI All
message from Myra, Totton and Eling Community Centre(TANDECA) need support every month at the film shows.
They understand that some films don't appeal as much as the "King's Speech" but the last two performances lost £100 a time (Moviola take 75% of profits)
TANDECA only seek to break even (maxium 85 tickets and staff to pay) however they do need people to go regularly to support the show please tell your friends.
I have suggested that missing out the summer months might be better as people have so much more to do e.g in the garden or taking trips and holidays.
Do give them your ideas too.Liz and Ann want to run a centre to benefit everyone. They have enthusiasm, new ideas and dedication qualities we welcome in these days of shoddy service.
Remember USE it or LOSE it.

Totton Twinning
Hi All
Myra has had the following request from the TT
A host is required for a 60 yr old German couple for 5 days at Easter. No payment but think they would offer exchange accomodation in Trittell, their home town.
If you can help please contact Rob Day chairman at robday2@tiscale.co.uk
It is the TT's 30th anniversary so exciting activites are planned for the visitors from France and Germany and their hosts.
